Plumbing an Ikea intergrated dishwasher, anyone done this or had one done?

we are putting our ikea kitchen in. theplumber had a problem with the 'hjapsam' integrated dishwasher, it has an 'aqualock' pipe on it which (surprise surprise) does not fit on to a traditional british pipe fitting. We probably need to get some kind of convertor or adapter but we have no idea what.. have searched the internet, been on the ikea fans website..

anyone else come across this and found a solution?

I'll call ikea tomorrow but I sense a long wait on the phone to speak to someone who doesn't know the answer coming on!!

I think we had a projecting ridged adaptor that projected from a junction below our sink. We pushed the dishwasher waste on to that and then secured it with a jubilee clip. It was a bit fiddly but not a mega hassle. All plumbing adjustments seem to be similar - it is not just an ikea thing. You just have to take all measurements and then head off to B&Q ad/or your local plumber's merchants to find something appropriate. I wouldn't bother phoning ikea.

Thanks for your reply. I should have been more clear, it's the bit for in inlet not the out let as far as I know.
Thanks!

Oh that is very odd then!
We have had 2 which both had standard water inlet connections for the hoses....
