on homes under the hammer they do up entire houses for 15k......

ive got 10k to do a bathroom and a garden and im about 3k short....Confused

Because the people buying them are very often tradespeople who can do all the work themselves. If you take off the labour costs, things sound really cheap, especially when you're buying fairly basic materials in the first place.

And they make it up. Same as they neglect to add on VAT and comission on the houses they buy at auction, which can be tens of thousands of pounds, and far outstrips the profit they declare Hmm.

They never mention that bit, nor do they account for solicitors fee's and mortgage payments in most cases. The biggie is the comission though.

When I do the sums on the figures they give I make it that most of them actually make a whopping loss. That is presuming they have actually priced the job right, and I just don't believe most of them do.
