Has anybody used Blazer? In a sitting room? Any thoughts?

I haven't used it but thought I'd bump for you. Looks a lovely colour, my worry with any red really is that it could make the room look a bit small and dark. I think it could work in a south facing room with a lot of sun, or maybe if you're going for a cosy snug and don't mind it being a bit dark. I was considering terre d'egypte for our south facing dining room but dh vetoed. Have you tried painting a large card or a piece of wall? Also if you have an F&b shop near you, try going and having a chat. They are really helpful.

We are going for cosy and snug: we've put a woodburner in and it is a small sitting room but we rarely use it during the day. We haven't got a f and b shop but we do have Robinson and Neal so that is a good idea, I might go and have a word. I'm not sure if we will do the whole room or just a wall.

Think Blazer would look fab, but I would probably not be brave enough to use it. We had our small sitting room painted Rectory Red for a couple of years and although it looked fantastic in a friend's house, it just wasn't right in ours.

I've just really cosied up our larger sitting room with a totally different colour, Hardwick White, I painted the ceiling Stony Ground and it looks really warm and inviting. I also painted the alcove of the fireplace that the log burner stands in, in Down Pipe. When the fire is lit it really stands out from the dark surroundings and looks great. Don't want to move off the sofa.
