Wall stickers... do they leave marks? Recommendations?

This may not be the best place for this Q, but I can't find a more suitable topic. My DD's (10mo) room is still a blank canvas, magnolia, painted in wipe-clean paint whilst I was pregnant (the whole house is magnolia, and I struggle to contemplate redecoration at the moment).

I'd really like it to have some form of decoration, but my DH is vehemently opposed to those wall sticker things as he thinks they'll take the paint off the walls. Is he right, or are they OK? Does anyone have any recommendations of good brands which a) won't remove paint from walls and b) have nice designs without being either too girlie or Disney-filled?
Thanks for any help on this!

we got Disney cars vinyl wall stickers for DS' room 3 years ago, they don't leave any mark just a bit of residue that is easily wiped off.

I would definitely recommend, ours cane from b and q.

Never used them but they all they don't take the paint off the walls or leave marks.

Non-girlified ones can be found on Etsy, there are loads. I especially like jungle type ones - they're what DD is getting if we EVER move house [veteran of three chain collapses emoticon]

Make sure you read the reviews. A lot of them peel off very easily. Too easily!

We have the about town ones: www.aspace.co.uk/search?searchterm=wall+stickers

They're now on their second incarnation as we moved from rented and they've now been put up again in DS's room.
