Any info on how I report a bad letting agent to a professional body or even just publicise how awful they are so others know not to work with them?
We're living abroad and have let out our house back in Scotland and the agent managing it has been absolutely dire - lying, never communicating information, failure to vet the tenant, trying to extract money for bogus repairs but then letting the tenant damage the house with impunity, just unprofessional in every way. It culminated today when the woman we deal with just hung up on me when I pressed her for information about the move-out check for the tenant who's leaving at the end of the month (answer: 'she's already moved out, no we don't do checks before tenants leave but it's fine, why are you accusing her of doing damage anyway??').
Other than moving immediately to our new letting agent who we've lined up to market the property to new tenants and manage lets from now on, is there anything we can do?
