oh fuck it!... ive just broken a window!

so Ive just broken a window. It is an old house and the sash sticks......I pushed a bit hard losing my temper and smashed the glass.

I've looked on yell.com and cant find anyone local to sort it...... it is only 18 by 15 inches and has lead applied to outside. is it the sort of thing DH could sort and do himself or not? does it need to be a specialist company??

on a downer now as tonight was first time children have seen me lose it.. as I shouted "you fucker" at the window

Sounds like the kind of thing you could do yourself.

It's the sort of job that you could almost certainly find a YouTube video of - there are YouTube videos showing you how to do all sorts of DIY things. And easy enough to get the glass cut to fit.

And you broadened your DCs' vocabulary - It probably won't be the last time :o. I never think it does children any harm to realise that their parents have a tipping point.

thank you.... feel a bit calmer now. Ive had a look at youtube.... who knew there was such a thing as "decralead" that you can do yourself.

I'm going to cover it over tonight... hopefully will be ok. I would have to be the worlds smallest robber to get through the hole!
