Industrial/retro lighting for the family room bit of my kitchen...

hello,

I've just had a wall knocked down which means I now have an L shaped kitchen, where one part will be a sofa/family room area.

The rest of the kitchen has recessed halogen spots, but I quite fancy something different in this area. Can anyone suggest something that might look good?

The kitchen is howdens beech and a black granite worktop (which I would replace if I could as it's a bit overwhelming really).
