our new house has got a large sand pit.
unfortunately the sand is full of snails and cat and fox excrement.
it's a large pit (150x200cm) and quite deep (about 40cm) and there is a lot of sand.
I don't suppose it can go into the normal bin?

bag it up in rubble bags #(don't overload) and take to HWRS site?

or put on freecycle for collection?

aerate the grass with a garden fork and then spread it over and brush it in. Also in your flowerbeds. We do this each year, but we're in London where the earth is quite clay based so it really helps.

Use it as bedding base for patio pavers eg near the door of a shed?
