Downstairs toilet

We have 4 children and currently only one toilet, so we are thinking of installing one under our stairs. Does anyone know roughly how much this would cost?

We paid £1,000 (which included the basin, loo and labour costs) But i guess this could vary depending on how easy it is to get a soil stack in (ours was easy)

Thanks, that sounds doable! Will have to take the plunge and get some quotes...

We have one under our stairs, we are in a modern house so it was there from day 1, but just to give you dimensions, it is 78cm wide and 180cm long.

The door leads in from the side of the stairs and the sink is opposite the door, toilet at the lowest end of the stairs, the height of the wall where it meet the sloped roof is 125cm.

Do you have a concrete floor or floorboards? Where is your bathroom in relation to the stairs?

We have a soil pipe on the back of the house for the bathroom, one that runs inside for the en-suite and the cloakroom has it's own pipe that joins the en-suite one at the man hole outside. Hope this helps.
