Uses for a little lean to conservatory.

hi, I am scrubbing my kitchen and conservatory floors ATM and thinking really that the conservatory is totally wasted space. It is home to a nice old pine dresser with china and ornaments on it and a modern oak desk which is a dumping place for mail, dry washing and assorted crap. Oh and the only phone and Internet sockets are in there.
It's too light to use a computer or tv in.
The previous owner had a small sofa and books there which was gorgeous but I feel would not get used and there is not really anywhere else the desk could go anyway.
Oh and it also has the litter tray in it which would also be hard to find a place for elsewhere.

Utility room? Storage?

i would love a dedicated laundry, miele washer, separate tumble dryer, and hanging space for indoor drying - a conservatory would get things nice and dry even in wet weather hopefully

i realise this is a sign of the onset of middle age.

I should have mentioned maybe that it is off the kitchen with a wide opening without a door and is the only exit to the garden.
I had a more attractive function in mind but maybe full on utility would be good. I do dry washing on racks in there already which adds to the dumping ground look atm.

WHy dont you make it a nice looking utility/boot room with washer/drier stacked in a cupboards and a sheila maid or wood floor standing airer?

Perhaps you could get a painted wood screen to hide the drying racks?
Seems an ideal place for a utility room (ie en route to the garden) and the benefit of having it all in one place is that the rest of the house is much easier to keep tidy. I think most family homes struggle to keep all washing/drying bits and pieces plus shoes/coats etc neatly tucked away.

They all look gorgeous don't they. Hmm. Washing machine is already plumbed in elsewhere but the tumble dryer does need a home. Ah, the desk. Could go in loft maybe as I do have a secret plan to get all of DPs gubbins up there.
