May well be a daft proposition as it's probably impossibly difficult to match people with varying requirements but feel very wearied by the thought of entering the whole estate agents, endless viewings treadmill again.
Has anyone ever swapped a house they owned and how did it go? How did you find the other person? Are there any websites for this?
Any tips would be good but I expect the traditional route will probably be the way we end up going.....
Just to declare my interests - we live in a seaside spot very close to Whitstable and want to move back to London - probably south/south east with access to east london line and victoria - looking at large area covering anerley, penge, sydenham, crystal palace and norwood and any other areas around there.
We have a 2 bed semi bungalow with big garden (needs updating), 5 mins walk from beach, suit holiday home or BTL or retirees or anyone wanting peace and quite - think 1950s ish area. Like this but a bit nicer - www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-23766171.html
Near whitstable and handy for canterbury
Looking for ideally 2 bed top floor flat, with reasonable lease, not too far from an East London Line station and a supermarket and probably in the £140,000 to £190,000 range
