What colour are the walls in your kitchen?

I need some inspiration. I've recently painted my kitchen walls green and was just about to do the touching up before DP put shelves up and we both agree that we really don't like it.
So what colour?

My walls are little green company silt. I love it. I f you thnk it's too dark but like the general shade, farrow and ball light grey is one shade lighter. I also love joas white and bone ( which is greenish in certain lights)

What colour are your cupboard/floor? What colour was it painted before?

I am useless at paint colours - but it may help those who are better skilled to help Grin

CuddyMum · 05/08/2012 22:26

Rather boring - magnolia - but it actually looks really nice.

SPsFanjoSponsorsTheOlympics · 05/08/2012 22:26

Mine is Coral coloured.

BikeRaceRunningRaceNoSkiing · 05/08/2012 22:28

Off white - Dulux Timeless

Viperidae · 05/08/2012 22:28

I have the bits by cupboards off-white and the wall behind the table F&B Mouse's Back. It is lovely.

MarshaBrady · 05/08/2012 22:29

F&B Tallow. It's nice.

MousyMouse · 05/08/2012 22:30

light green, sort of between mint and green olives.

MrsMcNulty · 05/08/2012 22:33

F&B House White, lovely.

ladywithnomanors · 05/08/2012 22:33

Oldwoman - i think the green is just too bright, it looked completely different on the tin Hmm.
Fishfingers - the floor has yet to be done, i think we're going for a slate grey tiles and the cupboard doors have yet to be changed ( can't afford a new kitchen) but will be neutral. It was painted a sunflower yellow by the last owners.
Would maybe a more olive green on one wall and a neutral colours on the other walls look ok? mmm

Lime White by F&B...

ladywithnomanors · 05/08/2012 22:35

Is Farrow & Ball very expensive compared to say Dulux?

Littlemissimpatient · 05/08/2012 22:37

Bright red dulux kitchen paint it looks fab with black floor and work top and white tiles imo.
I also really liked their orange which is rare for me to like orange

Selks · 05/08/2012 22:38

Mine are Sienna Earth, it's lovely, slightly deeper in colour than the pics show, but still light.

FunnysInLaJardin · 05/08/2012 22:39

Farrow and Ball 'String' and very nice it is too. Same as our sitting room (left over paint!)

lapsedorienteerer · 05/08/2012 22:41

Magnolia I think (inherited with house).

hugandroll · 05/08/2012 22:41

Dulux gentle fawn. Our kitchen is open plan to our hall as its tiny so we knocked a wall down so had to chose a colour that worked for kitchen, hall, landing and stairs. I love it but it does show up my 4yo handprints! We need to give it a freshen up but I will be keeping the same colour.

HugeMedalTally · 05/08/2012 22:41

Pale grey. It's a Dulux colour, but I'm not sure of the name. DH would know, but he's asleep.

DaydreamDolly · 05/08/2012 22:42

Dulux Apricot White. I love it.

CointreauVersial · 05/08/2012 22:45

Most of it is painted in a biscuity colour (in fact, possibly called Biscotti), but the end section (it is a long thin room) is in an ultra-matt mocha-brown.

White units, creamy-white floor, black granite and red accessories/pictures.

I was very tempted to do the end wall in a dark purple/mulberry but chickened out. But I do love the mocha.

chickydoo · 05/08/2012 22:51

Another Dulux Timeless here! We have a very big kitchen/dining room
2 areas one is 30 ft by 14ft second area 25 ft by 16 ft
We have a couple of walls in Jade White Dulux (pale blue/grey) units are off white & pale blue/grey. Floors & work tops are wood. Kind of works well, the blue/grey ties everything in really. Because the space is big the Timeless works well. It's also washable, which is very useful!

FishfingersAreOK · 05/08/2012 22:52

I have no kitchen at the moment - though the old dining room will it...is currently brick on one wall and new breeze block on the other....open plan the rest...

greyvix · 05/08/2012 23:17

White Tie, but would also choose Lime White and Pointing, which we have in other rooms. (Farrow and Ball)
