Stick on vinyl foil to match ikea off white kitchen (lidingo style)?

A bit of a long shot but here goes!

I need to cover a part of a cupboard panel with vinyl foil (it needs to be slim and we can't use the cover panels for this job).

I want to buy matching vinyl to stick on the side of the cupboard but was wondering if anyone knew where we could get one to match the off white colour in ikea? I need about a metre in total.

Thanks

Does Ikea not sell matching edging tape?

The chances of getting a complete 100% match will be slim unless you find out the makers of there door/supplier, as of there are many colour variations

vinyl foil is rubbish and tends to peel off, sometimes before the furniture has even left the shop.

A far superior material is melamine laminate, which is sold in large sheets, and glued on. There will be at least one laminate supplier in your town, probably on an industrial estate, and selling to shopfitters and builders. They might possibly cut it to size for you or know someone who will. It can be cut with a power saw if you have one.

I gather you want a matching end panel. Kitchen suppliers usually sell them in pieces of laminated chipboard that you screw to the side of the cabinet, to match their standard sizes. However they are usually in woodgrain or colours to match the doors, cabinets usually are delivered with white or beige carcasses.

Thanks both. The kitchen has been fitted, the fitter put end panels on the wall cupboards by the side of the extractor fan - but unfortunately I cannot lift the glass cover on the cooker now.

He's taken the cupboard end panels off now. He's coming back to fit the covering in a couple of weeks, so I just need to source it by then.

next to cooker? foil no good. Look for a Laminate merchant and take a sample in, such as a drawer. They will have a vast range in stock or to order. Take the exact measurement you want as you might get it cut to size straight away.

Thanks Piglet and thanks anna for your pm.
