Has anyone got an Iroko/African Teak worktop? Have just seen them online and they look lovely.

I lovedmine (we've moved now)

I didn't do any maintenance although I read that you're supposed to oil it sometimes. We had a sit-on sink unit so there wasn't a problem of having water on it regularly.

Would definitely have it again - it looked great with our glossy white units.

I've got them & I'm fed up with them, 7 years on & I haven't oiled them enough & they look dusty & stained. They haven't rotted round the sink (as I was warned) but there are various stains & faded bits.
My granite island looks like new though but blooming expensive.
What about a nice composite, Quartz or Corian?
