Walk-In Recess Showers - manufacturer recommendations (or who to avoid) please

Have a teeny en-suite being put in during house renovation. Is 1420mm x 1970mm. We have worked out that we have room for a 1400 x 800 walk in recess shower. Our builder has said that over 30 years of putting in showers the best non-cubicle showers are those by Matki. Trouble is they do not do one that would fit our recess. They are also sodding expensive! So need some advice/recommendations/experiences please of walk-in shower trays/screens etc. Any you would avoid /had problems with. Thank you!

DH is a plumber and hes recommending Mira and they do that size.

Oh thank you. Hoping the get this sorted soon - builder is a perfectionist and slightly over engineers EVERYTHING and wants totally the best quality. Which is great. Unless what he views as the best quality doesn't actually fit. I think he despairs of me as I do not only only Meile appliances- I am just paying him so he can afford them in his house Grin

I just had a look at both Mira and Matki who do have that size tray. Actually they are similar prices.

Matki

Mira

Was your builder trying to get you to go for the Matki high-end marble bespoke trays by any chance?

Actually you can get the Mira cheaper than that if you google it.
