We a renovation/ refitting our new flat.
We need new internal doors in every room as all the current ones are glass and not safety glass.
Decided to get plain fire doors are we may be converting loft at a later date.
Wicked sell plain fire doors but the standard size is around 3cm too tall. Can we cut them to size?

Also, do we need a fire door on a bathroom?
Thanks!

Sorry for typos, my phone likes to think it knows what I want to say!

do building regs require fire doors in normal internal doorways????

I thought they were just for 3-storey plus & only for stairwell doors.

but anyway yes, taking 3cm off a normal door (ie 1.5cm top & bottom) shouldn't be a problem

Yes as far as I know they will be required on all doors off the central hall when we convert the loft at a later date
