Decorator needed

I am looking for a painter/decorator in the warrington area to gloss the skirting boards, room door and window sill in my living room and hang wallpaper on four walls.

My budget is under £100 and I have the wallpaper paste and paint already.

£100 will get you nowhere. Rates are 100-170 per day and it sounds at least 3-4 days if you are lucky.

Sounds more like £300 to me. Watch videos on YouTube and do it yourself? Although you'll need to borrow a wallpaper table.

How about doing the sanding/glossing yourself (gloss ain't what it was yrs ago - much better now) and maybe ask a friend to wallpaper for you/with you & pay him or her?

I'm paying a pal (who thinks he's doing it for free) to wall paper 4 walls for me & I'll give him £100 & a crate of beer as a thanks.

I agree, £100! there would be no profit for a man in that. You could phone the local college and get a trainee.

Hang wallpaper on 4 walls - he would have to bring in equipment in a van, good wallpapering is a skill andyou have to pay that. Could be 2 days work for that (depending on pattern match) wall prep as well plus the skirting prep - another day and gloss 1 day. I would conclude that 4 days working flat-out would be more £560 +VAT.
