Blackboard paint question

Thinking of creating a blackboard in the kitchen but wondering whether greasy finger prints would be an issue? Has anyone done this and how well does it work? Are fingerprints a problem?

Yup I've done this, gotta whole wall done in my kitchen too. Nope no greasy marks or fingerprints yet on it and I have two kids under 4, they love it btw.

Just get a good board rubber because obviously fresh black paint which has been drawn on and rubbed out doesn't stay looking fresh for long. Unless you plan to give it a really good wash often enough.

You can buy special blackboard paint rather than using black paint. We've got a picture frame blackboard and there's no greasiness...

I bought a small tin of Blackboard paint from wilkinsons.

But be warned - don't get it on your clothes. MOST Definitely doesn't come out! Grin

this is one I made for my kitchen. You can get chalkboard spray as well but I suppose this is only useful for spraying a particular object. As a previous poster says, paint is very hard to get off and very runny so take care.
