My window is bland - modern upvc dark oak, 1800mm long needs something to soften it sink against it. What is the best - If I use roman blinds then they are going to get splashed and greasey? No curtains and def. no swags. A roller blind is ok but do these get just as much dirty and splashed?

Will it really get splashed/greasy? Do you only wash up when the blind is down, and if so are you very messy washers-up?

Some roller blinds are wipeable, which roman blinds wouldn't be. You could also consider wooden venetian blinds which can be cleaned although it's a bit fiddly.

Have had a roman blind at window by sink for years. Not splashed or greasy but there is a cobweb at the top Grin

Is there a windowsill? if so, I'd put pot plants or nice bowls or something on the sill rather than a blind.
