Ikea worktops?

We don't want to replace our whole kitchen but are considering giving it a bit of a facelift by replacing the worktops and sink.

Has anyone used Ikea's bargain solid wood worktops? What did you think?

you would be better off looking at a wood supplier and having the option of proper lengths.
Alot of the lengths Ikea offer are small. a wood place will give you more options that could mean less joints
Top worktops are as cheap as ikea but better

After 7 years hard labour our Birch IKEA worktops are still looking good.
Would probably get the same again if I was moving house.

We got our solid oak worktops elsewhere (kitchen is ikea) because they were much cheaper and came in longer lengths - we needed 3 metres and ikea only do 2.4
