Just in the middle of claim/investigation and everything is taking an age to do. Goal posts moving every week. Anyone got any experiences at all. thanks

hi. it can take up to a year to diagnose/monitor subsistence. you can engage an engineer directly to help with this and the costs can be offset against your excess when a claim is eventually made. if you go direct to the insurance company they might drag their heels a bit more than someone you employ as they do try to limit their liability. yes it does take ages but stick with it. where are you in the process?

We have had insurance involved from last October, still having measurements of cracks taken every 6 weeks. The offending trees were taken out about 3 months ago - just doesnt seem any end to it.

if the trees are gone it is the beginning of the end - although the ground might take up to 2 years to recover. it might be frustrating but it sounds like the right sort of things are happening. what in particular is it that you are struggling with?
