cost of having floors sanded and varnished

We have always done this ourselves but think with 3 kids and a hairy dog best to leave it to an expert.

Anyone any idea how much it costs these days?

I had a quote of £700 for an area of about 28 sqm. Was surprised how much.

2 grand to do two downstairs rooms, hallway, stairs, landing and medium-sized bathroom in a terraced victorian house.
