Moving from second floor one bed flat in St Johns Wood High Street (with access issues - narrow, winding staircase) to 3 bed flat in Kentish Town - can anyone local make a recommendation? Thanks

See another current thread with moving firm recommendations. I just used Crispins who were excellent. Twice before we used Tactical Moves, quite a whilw ago now but they are still run by the same guy, would have used them again but they couldn't do our date.

Yes! can I come back to you tonight with info?

They have moved me twice (brilliant, professional, no damage, no stress) and moved DP and his family members more times than we care to remember. They are based in Crouch End. I should add that they are family friends firm , just so you don't think I am being underhand.

Thank you - any recommendations for good cafes in Kentish Town?

We used Rogers Removals based in Finchley and they were fantastic. Moved us from Highgate to Crouch End and then Crouch End to Herts.

Used to live in Kentish Town too - loved it!

I don't tend to go to cafe's in KT much I am afraid. I have been into Phoenica (sp?)a few times which seems friendly and ok. Then there are a few going up to Tuffnel Park tube, that area is getting a bit posh, a new ice-cream shop coming. There is a Costa and a Pret that didn't go down to well but actually seem to get used, so aren't being boycotted!

The cafe on Parliament Hill Fields is the one all the mum's and childminders seem to go to, if that helps.

I am going to ask MNHQ to take the phone number down if that is ok OP?

Thats fine, passivehoovering, I had been worrying about it being on line for too long. Will go and investigate towards Tufnell Park (like the sound of an icecream shop), had heard about Costa and Pret, and have been by Phoenicia but not inside yet. Will also have a look at Parliament Hill Fields, though my children are older

Hope the move goes as smoothly as these things can
