good conservatory companies?????? do they exsist?

hi I have been having a nightmare in attempting to build on to my house... so far I have been let down by 2 architects and had 5 conservatory companies through and none have been helpful or interested in doing a good job - just making a fast sale!!!
I am a single parent and seem to have "sucker" on my forehead when it comes to dealing with builders!
please can anyone recommend (from experience!!!!!) a good conservatory/ extension company who are good at design, construction and quality?? and basically do what they say!

op you need to find a local company certainly not a national one. where abouts do you live, check out the local companies by asking them to put you in touch with someone they recently did an extension for. if they wont give you one then they arnt any good local companies that are repable rely on good customer satisfaction. i have renovated many houses now and recently put a lovely conservatory on the back of my house the builders i choose were great clean tidy and a good price too. op r u sure you know the right kind of price for what u want that always helps, if you dont mind me asking what size conservatory do you want? also alot of the price will depend on the type of roof you have!

The same as Kittycat says, go local, ask around friends and nieghbours and check out previous customers. We had ours built last year and all in it was 12k less than one of the big nations wanted. The guys who put it up were great and knew a brilliant plasterer and electrician so we gained all round. Finally don't sign anything until you know exactly what's included and excluded. Keep asking questions until you're happy!

YES! Sherborne - they do windows, doors and conservatories. In Hampshire. One of the best companies I have ever dealt with over anything. No hard sell, no 'discounts' and bargaining. Good quality (award winning), friendly staff, excellent communication, great aftercare, lovely friendly considerate reliable workmen.

My husband works for a company called Westbury Garden Rooms. Not the cheapest but he shows me some lovely pictures of what they build. They are in Essex but he tells me they build them all over. They are in House & Gardens etc every month.

We used a small family run local company called BJH, based in hampshire. A couple of friends had used them and had no probs, seemed pleased with them. They came in about middle pricing, def not the absolute cheapest but not over the top.

They were lovely to deal with and we're delighted with our conservatory.
