Help- advice on double glazing please

We might have to bite the bullet and have D.G.

Problem is- the current frames are pine ( stained and varnished) , as are the window sills and deep skirting boards. Neighbours who have had UPVC DG have got brown frames outsdie with white surfaces inside.

The window style is "cottage-y"- all windows have at least 4 or 6 panes of glass.

I don't want brown UPVC inside as it won't match the sills and skirting boards- but white will look very modern.

Has anyone any ideas of what else is available- and cost?
Is for a 4-bed house with 10 rooms I think and a front/back door..

Don't do it! Get secondary glazing or timber double glazing. Brown uPVC is the worst in my opinion. You could also get your windows overhauled and draft stopped to help with cold.

Personally I'm not keen on the brown UPVC and if you end up going for UPVC then I would go for white, however I think its personal preference! I've just got mine done in white.

As others have said, maybe the secondary double glazing would be an option.

Not sure how much it's going to cost you, but I used this site double glazing
