Bathrooms/Sauna - tips & recomendations please!

We're extending the main bathroom (it is tiny & dark). We should end up with a room about 4.3m x 3.8m with a cut out from one corner about 1.7m x 1.6m.

So, finding it hard to visualise space and how to do layout, but we might be able to put a sauna on the approx 2m length internal wall.
Questions are - any makes/companies you can recommend? Sizes - linear vs corner etc.

Do we need a ridiculously high ceiling height? We could vault over if necessary.

Doubly useful would be any stories of use of space in a similar sized room. Am hoping for a lovely modern 'spa' feel, but maybe what I'm after might end up a bit cramped?

Thanks!

I have a blank piece of paper with some dimensions and a hundred brochures. We will have a stand-alone bath, a large shower hopefully three-sides glass with minimal frame - maybe a steam shower Grin, double sinks, a loo and probably a bidet - jury still out a bit. We would love a small sauna and can't really put one anywhere else in the house so would be perfect if we could squeeze one in. There are lots of makes/sizes/prices so some pointers would be great - is it really that rare in the UK?
I also plan on putting in a white-painted garden bench with lots of cushions on it under the window overlooking the garden, with white shutters on the window, I think. Am thinking part-tiled with some painted areas - pretty pale blue or silver- would like to go neutral with tiling/floor so we could change the look by painting different colours if the mood takes us. Is a country house; I want it to be modern and unfussy but lush. Either wood effect or pale rubber floor.

I am off to get some square paper and a ruler. Odd L-shape so we might need to get creative with angles.

Any photos of finished projects would also be very useful, especially f room similar-ish size

tea-time bump Brew Biscuit any experience with Harvia?

i came on to say "don't do it!" as i viewed a property which had one and although it was pristine it was just a dark cupboard! but the harvia site is much more appealling with a glass front. certainly if you built in/detailed it nicely so it looked like part of the wall (and not a sauna box stuffed in a recess) then it could look very swish..... i would probably go for a steam box instead of a sauna if i was thinking spa but that's personal preference. you will use it and you are not moving for years and years tho - right?

I would prefer a steam shower to a sauna too. The rest sounds lovely!

Thanks for your input. Agree that some look pretty basic and claustrophobic - more glass is what we're after! I will post pictures when it's done Grin
We have just moved and spent a fortune, so no, we won't be moving for quite some time (until we win the lottery in fact) and I'm more of a sauna/steam girl than a garden hot-tub Grin
