exchange and completion on the same day possible?

agent says the must be a couple of days between exchange and completion.
google says it's possible, though.

It is possible definitely. I have done it twice but was a cash transaction both times which helped.

I did it once. I found it very stressful not having the comfort of exchanging first, but on the day everything happened perfectly.

We have done it too. Stressful, but certainly achievable. And ours was on a Friday 13th.

The reason was that exchange kept getting delayed by one small detail in the house deeds that didn't get sorted out until the morning of the day we were meant to move.

It's possible. We did it a few years ago. Thanks to the builders it took us another 2 years before we moved into the house

so far everything is going smoothly and we should be able to exchange in 2 weeks time. to get the keys a couple of days after is not too big a deal, but I would like to give the place a good clean before moving.

I would suggest that if you can, insist your buyers draw down their mortgage the day before. Last time we had but our buyers hadn't. Computer problems at their provider meant we only completed about half an hour before transactions ended for the day. Very stressful!
