What are the schools like in Somerset? I need to consider all options before I make an offer. But I could HE them in the maze, I guess.

That is absolutely gorgeous - that garden with the low hedges is amazing.

This one does have a pool but the current owners haven't exactly gone for the period detail with the furnishings

Lynette - there are some excellent schools in Somerset - Millfield, Taunton School, Downside, Wells Cathedral School, Prior Park...to name a few.

Timsbury is lovely, I went to primary school in one of the other villages round there. Was a fab place to grow up, very close to Bath & Bristol.

Minitheminx - that one is perfect. An 'entertaining barn' is what's been missing from my dinner parties.

As the current resident of a ^Georgian Gem' let me dissuade you. Its a blinking nightmare and I only rent the place. Can't wait to leave.

Having watched Country House Rescue last night, I'm not sure I'd want hoi polloi traipsing through my Georgian Gem just to keep it heated/maintained......
