ooooh, it's gorgeous!

outofteabags · 14/06/2012 20:16

Mine, all mine... (figures out way to afford it that is legal)

jubilucket · 14/06/2012 20:18

Sadly dd1 has ruled this one out as our lottery winning purchase due to the absence of an INDOOR swimming pool.

LynetteScavo · 14/06/2012 20:19

What are the schools like in Somerset? I need to consider all options before I make an offer. But I could HE them in the maze, I guess.

Hassled · 14/06/2012 20:20

That is absolutely gorgeous - that garden with the low hedges is amazing.

PanicMode · 14/06/2012 20:59

Lynette - there are some excellent schools in Somerset - Millfield, Taunton School, Downside, Wells Cathedral School, Prior Park...to name a few.

OK, I will make an offer then. When I have settled in, you are all invited to a house warming party. It will be ace. We will all drink champagne and be merry. If you trash my privit maze thingy you die.

drjohnsonscat · 14/06/2012 21:05

oooh that's so lovely. That sitting room (drawing room probably!) with beautiful windows and pale grey walls.

PanicMode · 14/06/2012 21:05

Excellent - that was easy. Let us know when you're settled and we'll arrive with the champagne.....

Timsbury is lovely, I went to primary school in one of the other villages round there. Was a fab place to grow up, very close to Bath & Bristol.
Gorgeous house too, I love Georgian. I'm not sharing my lottery win house in case one of you nab it Wink

Rhubarbgarden · 14/06/2012 21:17

Sigh. That's exquisite.

Blackduck · 14/06/2012 21:22

It has a wall of books... And a view.... ....

wonkylegs · 14/06/2012 21:27

I'd forego Georgian for this one - www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-37782215.html, I'm sure a swimming pool could be installed in one of the barns.
And this ones Regency but it would do.... www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-37642853.html
And already has a pool

drjohnsonscat · 14/06/2012 21:32

wonkylegs that first one is a heartbreaker.

Blackduck · 14/06/2012 21:33

You'd need staff... I'm crap with staff, my cleaner used to scare me ..

sparklingwine · 14/06/2012 21:37

www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-35438156.htmlI think I'd need a new lawnmower

hatesponge · 14/06/2012 21:38

I'll take this one Grin

drummerswife · 14/06/2012 21:40

sorry lynette i'm going to make an offer and i have the cash Wink
and i'll also have enough left for a swimming pool

MiniTheMinx · 14/06/2012 21:41

It's lovely but I prefer this, the whether is better in Sussex and the kitchen is out of this world. www.hamptons.co.uk/en-gb/property-details/?propertyref=HOC100010

LynetteScavo · 14/06/2012 21:50

drummerswife; I'm quite prepared for it to go to sealed bids. And you will still be invited to my party. No hard feelings.

Rhubarbgarden · 14/06/2012 23:21

Minitheminx - that one is perfect. An 'entertaining barn' is what's been missing from my dinner parties.

MoreBeta · 14/06/2012 23:28

As the current resident of a ^Georgian Gem' let me dissuade you. Its a blinking nightmare and I only rent the place. Can't wait to leave.

MiniTheMinx · 14/06/2012 23:32

I'm hoping they might throw the furniture in too, if I make an offer !

PanicMode · 15/06/2012 08:41

Having watched Country House Rescue last night, I'm not sure I'd want hoi polloi traipsing through my Georgian Gem just to keep it heated/maintained......Wink

Perhaps I'll settle for Wonkylegs' first one - which weirdly looks really familiar.
