Small north facing room, colour?

Lounge needs re-painting. Is small, north facing. It is a Victorian cottage. It has a log burner and very cosy. Have read somewhere that greens and blues can be good?......(I always thought warm colours were better...but hey who knows)! I do quite like the sound of a "regal green"? Any ideas!!! Thanks

If you google something like 'decorate north facing room' you should com up with some good info. Yes, I thought cool colours were out! I suppose tho you can get warm greens and blues which would balance it. Otherwise you could paint it light/white to give you the brightness and use furnishings for the colour? Have fun!

Victorian colours are quite warm. How about a mustardy cream colour. Look at farrow and ball. Their greens are very warm too. Wouldn't go blue, I just don't like it and warm blues don't look nice to me.

We were recommended either "Citrine" (Little Greene) or "India Yellow" for our North-facing kitchen.
