Ikea 45cm slimline dishwasher (RENELIG DW45) - are you forced to go with the stainless steel door?

I'm hoping to install a Lidingo Kitchen and would like to buy the small dishwasher. I'd like the matching Lidingo door, but on the planner it seems to only provide the stainless steel 'Rubrik' front.

I went to my local Ikea monday and I'm sure I saw a Lidingo door on the small dishwasher in the display kitchen, but can't seem to find one the right size online.

Anyone got one of these slimline dishwashers, that can help me please?

Thanks.

I'm going back to 2005 now, but I remember having the same dilemma. We had the Abstrakt black kitchen and the slimline dishwasher - remember there was a problem with the options online, but we definitely had a door to match the rest of the kitchen. Am sure if you go in and ask one of the planners they will be able to sort it out.

Have ikea slimline dishwasher I bought last year. Have a red gloss door on it to match the rest of the kitchen. I found the planner thing a nightmare to use and paid for someone to come to my house to measure and design. Could you phone your branch and speak to someone in the kitchen dept?

I was thinking the same as you because if you plan online this is all that they offer for some reason.
I was in Ikea yesterday to see the kitchens for myself as we are planning one in our new house and I saw several differnt kitchen setups with that dishwasher with various differnt fronts, so I guess not! I was pleased myself as the stainless steel cover does not match my other options!

We've just bought their slimline dishwasher (45cm) but Ikea don't do a door that fits exactly - they only do 50cm doors. The bigger door (50cm) fits on the dishwasher fine but we have a 5cm overhang at one side, which isn't a problem as you put your next cupboard up to the edge of the door so that it flows without anyone realising the dishwasher it hides is a bit slimmer.
The only time this is a problem is if you only have a 45cm gap for your dishwasher, the alternative then is to trim the door down but you risk the edge being a bit 'rough' on the side you trim and depends on style of the door.
If you look at the kitchen displays in Ikea the doors are wider than the dishwasher - you don't notice it unless you're looking for it Wink

Hi. We fitted the dishwasher behind a 500door to match our adel kitchen. There is a gap between the cabinet and the side of the machine. It's not great and gets a bit mucky. We never got around to fitting wooen fillets to fill the gaps.

Also the ikea dishwashers are cheaper than other suppliers but the warranties are a bit rubbish. If you are doing your kitchen to sell then buy the dishwasher from them otherwise go to john lewis or someone else with decent customer services. It is worth paying extra initially. We just had to by another washer which is far more expensive than getting one decent one to start with......

We bought a bigger door, 50cm I think, then cut off one side. It didn't look too bad as long as you didn't look too closely! We now have a different set of ikea cupboard doors with wooden panel surrounds - we took the surround off and cut out a section of the middle before putting it back together and it looks great.
