Where can I find nice wooden curtain poles?

I'm looking for some wood curtain poles, good quality and ideally in a distressed/painted/limewashed sort of finish rather than plain wood.

Can anyone recommend a good place to look?

John Lewis have these which aren't too bad but was hoping to find somewhere with a larger range of finishes.

Thanks!

Do you have a local interiors shop? There's a brand called Cameron Fuller which most of them carry, good quality and lots of sizes/finishes. They're a trade only company but their website is here

Ooh thanks that's exactly the sort of thing I was after, I think I have seen them in local interiors shops but didn't know the brand. Thank you!

We had this problem and bought cheap pine ones and painted them to match the wall. Worked really well.

That's an idea. Did you have to strip off any varnish/wax first, and did the paint last well? Not too confident of my home painting skills...

Oh no, we just bought a cheap pole from Argos and then painted it with F&B paint. No preparation and it looks great some six years later.

Homebase do a white, cream and grey I think...
