leaking shower

shower leaked last night water coming through kitchen ceiling.
Popped the base off this morning and had a mosey. No leaking pipes. However did notice some water running down the back of tray.
Investigated and found a gap in the sealant.

Am I right to think just resealing will solve the problem? Was a bit panicky last night as having a few things going wrong recently.
it was resealed last year but I suspect not well

Well I hope so because mine is doing the same thing Grin. Have bought the sealant but so far not got round to doing it!!

When you reseal it, take the old sealant off properly (you can get a remover from b&q etc), and when you apply the new sealant stay standing in the shower tray untill it has gone off. Otherwise if it seals when the tray is empty, when you stand in it it stresses the seal and thats how you can get splits/weakness in the sealant.
