Selling flat privately- can it be done?!

Hello there- we have a gorgeous 2-bed garden flat in muswell hill and looking to sell. Have had it on market for a few months with one accepted offer but buyer too slow so we are back on the market. We are toying with the idea of attempting to sell privately.. I'd be interested to know if anyone has done this or anyone has any tips on how to do so!
Thanks

100% recommend www.housenetwork.co.uk - worked great for us.

I rent my old flat privately which works brilliantly and we're under offer to sell privately (obviously we'll see how that goes once it has actually gone through). My feeling is that if you give the buyer some incentive (eg you sell for a little less and 'split' what it would have cost in fees) and do your homework, then it can work better than sharkey agents.

Have you got networks that you could advertise your flat through, eg friends' work noticeboards, friends of friends? I feel that that sort of 'personal' connection really helps. Again, worked with my rented flat.

Good luck.
