Online lighting retailer recommendations

We've just bought a house and need to change the lights in every room. Unfortunately we can't find any we like locally and I wondered if anyone could recommend any good online lighting retailers please. TIA

John Lewis have fab lights - and not all are expensive.I think they also do a fitting service. As long as the ceilings aren't over a certain height they will deliver and fit them (obs a fitting fee).

Jim Lawrence, although may not suit your taste. What kind of things do you want?

Please don't laugh, but I've bought two of these Tesco lights and they are lovely, they are real glass and they don't look cheap at all.

If you like Jim Lawrence, also look at Holloways of Ludlow, and Original BTC

Heals are good for more modern stuff (but you can get the same items slightly cheaper at online retailers like Ocean Lighting)

BHS has some good lighting as does Laura Ashley

I second John Lewis.

Trouble with most of the "online only" retailers is they have a massive range of stuff and you have to wade through lots of crap to find something you like. Best to find something you like first, then look for it cheaper online.
