We're thinking of building a granny annex at the bottom of our garden. It's rather narrow (5.5 metres) but we're end of terrace so would want to use the full width of the garden and have it right up against the back fence.
The garden is about 60 metres long so my mum would need a toilet and hopefully a shower to save her needing to walk up the garden in the rain.
Has anyone built anything similar and how easy was it to get planning permission? Am hoping that council will look favourably as it is saving them social care costs in the future.
