Can I round the corners on my granite worktops?

I do love my granite worktops but I am fed up of wrecking clothes (small holes in the front of tops around granite height) and have discovered that there as some small chips on the edges which are beveled which i eeckon are causing the problem.
I visited a friend at the weekend and her new tops are rounded and therefore smooth, has anyone had their edges done? I know it's a bit of a long shot and have a stonemason calling me back with estimated cost but I just wondered if it there's anything I need to look out for ( don't want to wreck them) and whether it will solve my clothing problem.

If you have no luck here and want a 2nd opinion, try diynot.com

I use this site, mumsnet for style tips (things you may ask your mum) and diynot for Diy stuff (things you may ask your dad), you tend to get good answers from them

I'm bumping this as I was about to post an identical question but did a quick search first. Has anyone found a solution to this?

The granite in our kitchen was there when we moved in and has really sharp, beveled edges, which I'm sure are the reason all our clothes are completely ruined.

I would love to know if anyone has a recommendation for someone who can round the edges, and also know whether that solves the clothing issue!
