Any thoughts on Annie Sloan paints? Are they any good?

Just as the title says. My mum is raving about them, apparently no preparation required just slap it on, walls or wood, or anything!

It depends what sort of look you want, AS paint is best for the shabby chic look, not really what you want if you like a crisp clean finish.

I haven't worked with the new emulsion (wall paint) as it's not been around very long, it's expensive though.

If you use it on furniture you have to protect it with wax so you loose the really matt finish.

Just bought a tin - went to buy old white and when I got there it looked horrid so bought grey instead. Will let you know if its good or not
