Play bark or rubber chippings for play area

Does anyone have any experience with either? We're sectioning off an area of the garden for the kids climbing frame but I need to decide on either real bark or rubber bark as the ground cover. We have cats and am worried they'll think it's the biggest cat litter in the world! Any advice would be appreciated as need to get it ordered. Cheers all x

I'm afraid both will be used as the local cat convenience. Have you priced up the rubber type flooring used in play parks? I didn't put anything under my DS playhouse and frame, exempt the grass.

You can buy rubber sheets with big holes in them that the grass grow through which softens their landing if the fall but is no use to the kitty's.
We bought ours in homebase.
