Anyone know about Bottisham, near Cambridge?

Having a think about moving near there. Any experience or info on it gratefully received!

The Cambridge local board probably best for more detailed replies - you've probably already posted there I imagine but am too lazy to check...

I know a couple of the villages near Bottisham quite well and it's a very decent area, although the fenland scenery not to everyone's taste. Some if the satellite villages to Cambridge are pretty dreary but Bottisham seems to have a little more going for it. Think the village college has good reputation and driving into Cambridge to the park and ride is pretty easy, although never did it at rush hour so don't know how snarled up it gets then.

Ex-pil live there. Village college very good, offer IB. Village not exactly scenic but Ok. Easy transport to CB.

Dreary fen village, poor public transport, village college not as good as others south of Cambridge.

Thanks everyone. Hmmm will have a ponder and a look around there. I prefer hills myself but the lure of having Cambridge nearby may outweigh that.
