wooden cat flaps

Can anyone recommend or point me in the direction of a supplier of secure cat flaps made from wood? The world seems to be full of UPVC ones but the only wooden ones I can find are in the US.

It's mainly because it's an old house with a wooden stable door, so putting a plasticky one in would look a bit out of place. I've seen wooden ones from US suppliers presumably made in a lighter type of wood, but I haven't found one for the UK.

I just wondered if anyone else had already been thought it and could recommend a UK firm.

What about a see through one? Or paint it black. I think my boys would struggle with a wooden door no matter how light the wood was.

Cats like to be able to see through a cat flap to make sure they're not walking out into danger. I don't think they would use a solid wooden flap. Unless you are just talking about the surround?

I take it everyone is using the UPVC ones then? I hadn't thought about the see-through aspect of it though - I can just imagine my two hopping around either side wondering if they should poke their heads through or not!
