Bit dull this one but essential. We are going to convert from oil heating to gas (yipee!) and are looking at new boilers.
We have a 4 bedroom detached house with a couple of large reception rooms. One plumber has suggested a conventional boiler with tank arrangement using a Worcester/ Valliant boiler. Another has suggested something called a Flow Smart Alpha boiler which is a combi boiler but with some additions (a Gas Saver & a 50l thermal store (which can be linked to solar panels) which means it can supply enough heat/ hot water for what we need.
I don't know anything about Alpha boilers or whether this flow smart system is any good. Anyone got one? Any good?
