F&B Mouse's Back in hall, stairs and landing?

Anyone done it? Would it be too much? We have a very large hall stairs and landing space in an Edwardian house and I think it could look beautiful. It is quite a dark space when doors are closed but gets sunlight most of the day if we leave bedroom doors open. Have got the tester and the square I have done looks quite brown and murky making me worries about the same colour over a larger area. However, we did our bedroom in F&B light blue and the tester pot looked like an awful dull grey colour but all over the bedroom it looks stunning and much lighter. Hmmm...

Personally, I wouldn't if I'm honest. We painted our previous (spacious and light) hall & stairs in F&B Elephant's Breath and it looked sooo much darker afterwards and much darker than we were expecting. It did look smart, but dark and a bit depressing really. Mouse's Back is even darker than Elephant's Breath IIRC.

Our current hall & stairs are painted white, which at first I found a bit stark but now am really really glad that we did it - the light colour makes it seem so much airier, especially in winter and the rest of the year when the weather is grey and gloomy.

What about a paler greige - Skimming Stone or similar?

Thanks minipie. We have skimming stone in DS2s nursery so not too keen on using that again. Know what you mean re depressing - that is my fear, although the F&B lady did a good job of convincing me it would look elegant and cosy, especially as it would be lit by lamps all winter and on dull summer days. It is warmer than Elephant's Breath I think. I guess it's the one room in the house I feel I can take the risk!

No one else? I thought MN was teeming with F&B experts!
