How much for double glazing in 3 bed house?

I know this is a very vague question but we've just moved into a standard three bedroom, bay windowed 30's semi. The windows all need replacing and I wondered very roughly, how much it would cost to replace them all including patio doors in the kitchen.

Like I say, I know prices vary wildly but we're currently writing up a budget and I'd like to get them done sooner rather than later.

We had 6 windows and a front door done for around £3,000 two years ago. The UPVC door in the basic colour and door glass pattern was £800, so the windows must have been around £2000 to £2500.

We went with a local company which had excellent reviews (Softview if you are in Essex) and they had them all replaced in one day (a Saturday), they came back the next day to do the finishing.

Everest quoted £8000, then phoned up two weeks later and quoted £6000 and then sent us a letter offering us a limited time offer at £4500. After about three months they came down to £2500, but by then we had gone with the local company, not that I would have gone with Everest by that time anyway.

I had 10 windows & 3 doors (Front door, back door & glazed door) done last year for about £8000. Everest quoted me £30,000 for the same job Shock

I didn't get the cheapest windows - all dummy sash windows, all of them open, have restrictors on etc.

And my front door was expensive but I love it and everyone comments on it.
