Thinking about getting this rather than my original idea of white Corian-having been persuaded by kitchen designer that quartz is more hard wearing and less prone to staining.Would be grateful if anybody had any comments, ta.

I am looking at samples of white with mirrored flecks through to mirrored greys. We have literally decided on a run of white gloss units and red gloss island units. We are now veering to dark greys and black quartz with mirrored flecks since we do have young DC and white won't be as practical. Decisions, decisions.......

I have white caeserstone work tops - not as scary as it sounds. They clean up v easily, either flash bleach or Method Tub Scrub (excellent for hard water marks). I've had them about 3 years, and they still look brand new.

Thanks Ivana-yes I was looking at pure white by casarstone too, not sure whether to go for slim width or more chunky-what have you got ?

Work tops are 3cm depth.
A friend had granit transformations worktop- a white twinkly one, had bits of mother of pearl in it, look v v pretty but not disco.

qaurtz is great, easy up keep all round, hot pans on it (if you slip)

dh has been doing a lot of 20mm and 12mm worktops, the slimline look is going well at present

My white is on 3 years and is immaculate. Believe me Im not big into cleaning all the time. I really rave about it, so easy to keep even black permenant marker came off it.
