Has anyone used F&B cabbage white?

My bedroom does not get much light. I have a big rug with different shades of blue and looking for a complementary wall colour. Skylight a very dull blue/grey. Need something lighter and fresher. Would cabbage white against brilliant white ceiling and woodwork give me a nice blue?

F&B pale powder?

I've used Borrowed Light and it was lovely. Cabbage white IIRC is a lighter version.

Where is cabbage white on the chart?

sh77 · 06/05/2012 22:09

Thank you for suggestions.
Motherofluvlies (your name always makes me smile esp when i read that your luvlies are coming home in earlier post) - dont remember number but it is at the top of the blue scheme.

Well the teenagers didn't come home and the triplets are definitely home and being lovely not.
Did you put the cabbage white up?

motherofluvlies · 07/05/2012 08:04

You see to me that looks greenish.

NO f&b colour looks right in my flat as is the lighting is so variable in each room. Some are cavernously dark and others have good light. Did you decide on your white?

What colour is borrowed light exactly when it's on the walls? I have the F&B chart.

randomimposter · 08/05/2012 08:46

It's a pale subtle blue.

sh77 · 08/05/2012 12:10

Would it look like a nursey colour as I don't want that?

fair point, I did choose it for DS room when he was a baby, BUT I think it would work well as a sophisticated blue choice, depending what you put with it?

Thanks for the tip.

Blackened is a pale blue grey - lovely.

have just painted a bathroom in cabbage white. it's very nice, but definitely a fresh whitey green (think cabbage white butterfly) rather than blue. have also just used blackened in dss bedroom! it's a nice bluish grey.
