After the White Company ad look. Help needed with paint colours!

DH has finally agreed that we can recedorate some of the rooms in the house and I want to start with the master bedroom.
I love the relaxing looks of the rooms in the White Company ads - pale greys, white wood, neutral linens, etc.
However, I'm having huge difficulty in finding a paint for the walls that doesn't make the room look like a set from Prisoner Cell Block H! I've spent a small fortune on test pots and the closest I've found to the soft grey colour I'm after is 'Strong White' by F&B. However this has a certain green tinge which can make the room look quite cold in certain lights and I'm after something as light as this in colour but warmer IYSWIM. Dove Grey by Laura Ashley is a lovely warm grey but just too dark overall in colour. Can anyone suggest a soft grey that will fit the bill? I'm lost!

How about Cornforth White, Slipper Satin or Skimming Stone - all F&B

Cornforth White is bluey but warm
Slipper Satin is very pale, slightly pinkish grey
Skimming Stone is a stone colour - greige basically

Or Shaded White perhaps? (can't remember quite how this comes out).

Also look at Sanderson Birch White

We have Little Greene Co French Grey Pale but you might find this a bit too blue/cold, in our room it is more of a very very pale blue than a grey.

In our front room we have strong white on the walls, elephants breath on the cupboards and a brilliant white on the ceiling and I think it looks great. V, v subtle grey tones.

Elephants Breath is worth a look, a soft grey taupe. Looks good with white.
I have used Charleston Grey in our bedroom and it looks great, very sophisticated and works with the things you mention, ie white wood, linen etc, but you might find it too dark.

Dulux Egyptian cotton is a very pale, warm grey. It is very farrow and ball esque in colour. We have just used it and I was also trying to achieve a white company look!

Ps for some reason when we painted a small sample area of it, it came up quite dark but when did the whole room it was quite light.

Great, a few contenders named here that I haven't tried yet. Thanks everyone. Now just to get around the problem of painting more splodges on the bedroom wall without DH noticing and asking exactly much have I've spent on test pots :o

F&B Shaded White is great.

FB Slipper Satin isn't a grey at all IMO. Duluc Egyptian Cotton is a cery easy colour to live with though and not very strong.
