..and how messy, also the time needed for the work? the extra one would go on a stud wall if that's possible?

That question is slightly like how long is a piece of string! People need more details to answer.....

well, there isn't much info to provide really...it's needed in living room, and there is one there already. This one would go on a stud wall (if htat's possible). Combi boiler in the flat, the boiler is not far from where there radiator needs to go. Radiator itself I can find out the cost of, so not asking that.

Exactly same situation. I am in London and the labour will cost around 100. However, we are replacing our floor and so plumber will have easy access to piping under the floor. Are pipes on the surface or under the floor? Radiator with valves 40 quid upwards.

sh77 - that's lucky with underfloor access! Mine needs to be raised (carpet on top) but i hope he can lift a section along the wall and also not damage the wall paint/plaster much?
100 is not bad but I wonder how much more with floor access.

mind you, if the pipes have to lead from existing radiator than much more carpet needs raising as they would be on different walls with door inbetween in the corner.

Yes, i imagine they will need to lift up quite a bit of floor to extend the pipe. call a few plumbers and negotiate price.

anyone done this recently and can give idea of cost with liting of the floor?
