A question about kitchen units

I have a larder unit and want to put another shelf in it. I thought that it would be a simple matter of going to a Shed and picking it up off the, erm, shelf. Both B&Q and Homebase say that they don't sell them separately.Shock
Surely someone must sell them - who?

Where is the larder unit from?

FerrisBueller1972 · 25/04/2012 19:23

Or just buy laminated mdf and cut to size?

sheeplikessleep · 25/04/2012 19:24

I'd get in touch with both B&Q and Homebase Head Office and ask them.

B & q sell laminate and chip board and stuff like that. In fact in larger stores they will cut it down for you. We did this when we wanted to add another shelf to a cupboard.

I can't remember where the kitchen was from, sheep, but they are all the same standard size aren't they.
Both of the Sheds suggested cutting down a piece of laminate but you think that they would have the actual thing for sale as a proper product in itself.Confused

Howdens.

What size shelves? B&Q do 300m and 600m wide.

Have they changed the size of units while I wasn't looking. The dimensions on the Ikea and B&Q websites are all wrong.

My larder seems to be an external measurement of 51cm (or, more likely I think, 20") and I want a shelf of 46cm width (18¼") and depth of 43.5 or 50 (17" or 19½").

Perhaps a cut-down is the answer.

Not all cabinets are standard size. Ex Schreiber and Moben for example are varying sizes.
