i need a cheap interior designer!

We have just rented a fabulous house (in my eyes); problem is although I am still in love with it--it's got very cheap fittings that I cannot remove.

I want a beautiful home and our lease is for 2 years. Is there anyone you can suggest? The cost of furniture will be expensive to begin with, so ideally someone who can just help me come up with color schemes+furniture ideas.

If you have a Laura Ashley or John Lewis near you, they charge a nominal amount for advice which I believe you can then offset against anything you buy.
