What to do before we put house on market

Quite modern home, London, we've been here since 07, not done anything to it except putting in a shower and some shelving in utility room. Repainting planned and improving sash windows which are a bit shabby now, flaky paint etc.

What to do to bedrooms and tv room to make them look good? Kitchen still in VGC.

Planning to have seals redone in bathroom, no windows so seal look a bit grim in places. Cupboard and bath panel in bathroom could do with repainting but not sure if that is worth it.

Any thoughts? Aiming to put on in may/june.

It is not in anyway a typical Victorian home.

I've been viewing houses and the number of houses I've been put off instantly because of the bad smell is amazing. Make sure your house is spotless and smells lovely. Make sure all the toilet seats are down as well, I went into a newish build house in great condition, but all I can really remember about the house was walking into the en suite and seeing the vendors dinner around the toilet pan YUCK!!!

Yes planning a deep clean once painters are done etc.

thanks! We have those funny smelly sticks in oil in the loo, much better than not so fresh house smell in the winter when the heating's been on...
